What is the best part of the day?

Moe: The best part of the day is when momma or daddy get tired of the pawing, whining, and general chaos that occurs when we all get hungry! Cosmo gets momma up in the morning for breakfast. Carmela usually gets us our lunch. We all take turns to get our dinners. Yes, we eat three times a day. It's good to be the King of the House!

Carmela: Boys, I think we have a problem here.

Moe: What's the matter, sweetie?

Cosmo: Yeah, what's up?

Carmela: Well, if Moe is King of the House, and you are the King of Mischief, what am I?

Moe (taking a deep breath): You are the Queen of my heart!

Carmela: Oh, Moe! (kissing him on his cheek)

Cosmo: Oh, barf!

Happy Mother's Day

Cosmo (gently pawing at momma's knee): Mom?

Momma: Yes Cosmo.

Cosmo: I love you Momma. Sometimes I bite you, but I don't mean to. I am trying to be better. You only had to spray me with the water a few times today.

Momma: My sweet boy. I know that you are getting better. I'm glad that you let me pick you up and hold you. That is the best present of all.

Moe: Hey, Cosmo.

Cosmo: Yes, Moe.

Moe: I read your blog post from yesterday, and I think there is a problem.

Cosmo: What kind of problem?

Moe: Well, old buddy, old pal. As the senior cat of the house, the title of "King of the House" should be mine.

Cosmo: Okay, I just thought that because I was the biggest...

Moe: Let me think. The "King of Mischief." That'll do. I hereby dub you "King of Mischief"!

Hey everyone!

I'm glad it's Friday. I'll have two humans to worship me for two days! Of course, I will allow them to worship Moe and Carmela, too! But, I will get the most because I cause the most trouble if I don't!

Carmela - Gotcha Day - Part 4

Hello everyone!

Thank you for reading along as I revisit my first days in my new home.

Back to the story:

"Leave me alone, " I yelled. "I'm staying here!" I crawled back under the couch as far as I could go. My eyes shot lasers at the offender. Lucinda sighed and said, "Now look what you've done. I know you are excited to see Scandalous, but I told you to wait."

The bigger cat nervously licked his paws. "I'm sorry, I thought she would remember me."

"It's okay, Moe. She just needs time and we need to be patient. This here first night away from all she has known. We will let Momma work her magic to get her out."

Moe looked hopeful, "You're right, Lucinda. I will leave her alone. She knows you better, anyway."

Lucinda started walking towards the bedroom and turned to say, "Remember this. All the males she has known were stud cats and not very friendly. Once she gets to know you better, she will be your best friend." She headbutted under his chin. "Come on, Moe. Let's go to sleep. Momma has to get up in a few hours."

Carmela - Gotcha Day - Part 3

Saturday, May 2nd, 2003 - 2:00 AM

I shook my head and thought I was dreaming. "Little sister, is that you?" said the voice. "I never thought I would see you again. Welcome to your new home!"

I crawled halfway out from under the couch. "Zoom-Zoom," I softly said. "I am so happy to see you. I have missed you."

The dark brown cat licked my ears and said, "My new name is Lucinda. I like it and usually answer to it, unless I am playing with my mousie." She went on to say, "you will love it here. The humans are very caring and provide everying you need. You can sleep on the bed with us. Do you want to go in now?"

While I was thinking about abandoning my safe spot, the shadow of a larger cat suddenly appeared. I panicked and dove back under the couch.

Carmela's Gotcha Day - Part 2

Good morning kitties and kitty folk!

It's a beautiful day here. The sun is shining and I know that I will be sitting in the window today!

Now, lets get back to my story.

I forgot to mention that I was taken to my my new home on a Friday. This is very important to the story.

"Where are we going?" I meowed as we drove away from my birth home. My new momma reassured me that I was going to a home full of love, lots of good food, sunny windows, and two cats who wanted me to be there. I stayed quiet for the rest of the trip. My new humans spoke to each other about how luck they were to have me. I liked hearing their voices and relaxed a little.

Soon, we stopped moving and I was carried in my PTU up many stairs. The door was opened and we entered my new home. The familiar smells got stronger. Momma opened the PTU door and the other cats pushed their way in to get a good look and sniff! They scared me, so I hissed at them and rushed past them to find a place to hide. I squeezed myself under the couch and hissed again. Momma talked calmly to everyone. She knew that it would take time for us to get used to each other. Since I wouldn't come out, food, water, and a litter box were put out where I could find them. The other cats were taken away so I could come out and explore if I wanted to. Soon, the lights were turned out and I thought everyone went to sleep.

I thought about my kitty momma and my grandpa. They both told me my sister had gone to a forever home with one of the boycats. I had been busy with my kittens at the time, so I never got to say good-bye. As I started to doze off, I heard a whisper in my ear!

My gotcha day story - Part 1!

May 1st, 2003

There I was, minding my own business. Living with the other cats in the cattery. My kittens were grown and gone. I was recovering from my ladycat surgery. I was missing my sweet sister, Absolutely Delicious. I heard one of the ladies that raised me talking on the phone about "adoptable girl cats." In the evening, some very nice people came to visit. They had two other cats and wanted a third to round out the group. I guess that the boycat was too much cat the the ladycat. Anyway, they were introduced to me and I noticed a familiar smell, but I couldn't put a paw on it. They were nice and gave nice pats and scritches. I purred and rubbed and let them know I liked them. Papers were signed and I said good-bye to my birthplace. They put me into a PTU and got into the box with wheels and traveled to my new home.

Tomorrow, I will tell you the next part of my story, especially about the familiar smells!

My Gotcha Day!

Hi, it's Carmela here!

Grrrrrrrrrr. My momma is a bad momma and I am gonna have Cosmo bite her toes tonight! She forgot that my gotcha day was today, not tomorrow. It's late and all, but she said she would make tomorrow a special day. I heard tuna and a massage are part of the plan.

Tomorrow, I will tell you my story about how I came to live with momma, daddy, Moe, and my angel sister Lucinda.

Frisky Friday

Hi every furry one!

I'm glad that it's Friday. The sun shined today and I was full of energy. I was jumping up to snag a cord from the blinds. Momma squirted me with water to get me to stop. I finally got tired and took a nap! Momma is going to get some action shots, tomorrow. I think I will put on my cloaking device, so she can't find me!

I want to wish my roomie, Moe a very happy birthday! He is a good guy and I let him lick me once in a while.

Happy Birthday, Moe!

Hey everyone, it's Moe!







It's been a long time since we last posted. Our momma has been busy (lazy) and has not updated in a while. Cosmo's new job is to get momma up to feed us breakfast and turn on the computer so we can all tell you about our day.


Here are thirteen things that I want you to know:


1. My birthday was yesterday.
2. We had a low-key celebration.
3. I am a thirteen year-old meezer geezer!
4. I am the referee for Cosmo and Carmela during their wrestling matches.
5. I meow and everyone comes running to see if I am okay!
6. Carmela is my best girl.
7. Momma is my next best girl.
8. I crawl onto my daddy's chest for a purrfest in the morning and the evening.
9. I sleep on momma's pillow, so she only has a corner to lay her head.
10. I keep Cosmo in line with a swipe of my paw.
11. I let Cosmo take over as spokescat of the house.
12. I had my teeth cleaned in February, and they stole four teeth!

Thirteen things about Cosmo!

1. He is black

2. He is very furry

3. He was adopted from Illinois Animal Rescue in October

4. He is twice the size of Moe and three times the size of Carmela

5. He has big teeth!

6. He loves to eat

7. He loves treats

8. He loves toys, especially mice, jingle balls, toes, tails, etc.

9. He just get girl cats at all!

10. We think he is still growing, even though he is a year and a half old.

11. Did we mention he love his food?

12. He is the spokescat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

13. We are glad that he is part of our family

Three Cats on Tuesday!

This is how we greet momma in the morning. We like to all be in the bathroom at the same time. We get lots of pats and kisses while she is trying to get ready to leave us. Cosmo is being very stealthy, Moe is blurry, and Carmela is rightfully sitting on a throne!

Mancat Monday with Cosmo

Happy Monday,

I am not happy that Momma is leaving to go to work. I don't see why she can't take me with her. After all, she says that she will miss hearing my bell jingle as I follow her around the house. On the other paw, we would all miss the food and snacks that she brings home. Instead, I will sit here and reflect the fact that she will come home soon.

Sunday with Moe!

Hi everyone!

I hope that you had wonderful holidays with your family and friends. My Christmas and New Year's was quiet and relaxing. Momma was off of work, so we had unlimited access to snacks, snuggles, and quality naptime! The new guy is fitting in. I have let him be the spokescat for meals. I am the senior cat in the house after all! Camela is still my girl. We can be found curled up together most of the time! She tried to flirt with Cosmo, but he didn't get it! I will let her tell you about another time.

Happy New Year!

Cosmo here!

I'm just going to rest up for 2011. This has been my first New Year's with my forever family. There were lots of boom-booms outside, and I didn't know what to do, but my mom reassured me that I was safe. I got a kiss at midnight and got a snack. I love my mom, dad, Uncle Moe, and Aunt Carmela!
