Sleepy Saturday

Hi everyone!

Carmela here with the pajama party report. Moe and I stayed up all night and played and sang and ate. It was a great time. Momma joined us at 2:30 AM. She fell asleep early, so she could be up with us later. As you can see by the picture, we are tired out and resting up for another all nighter!

Well, I'm going back to join Moe.

Have a great day!

Thursday Thirteen - What's been happening?

Hi everyone! Moe here.

It's good to be back blogging. I think I gave my secretary enough rest, but now it's time to do a Chicats update.

1. We got new doors to keep out the introoders.

2. We got new blinds on the windows, so we can hide and sit in the sun.

3. Momma got a "Total gym" to work out on. We just sit and laugh at her! She needs to just chase a mouse around the house.

4. March 1st was my 6th gotcha day. None of us felt like celebrating because it was also Lucinda's gotcha day, too. She was my first girlfriend cat and I miss her very much. (So does Momma, Daddy, and Carmela.)

5. Momma lets us play on the stairs in the front hallway. We can claw and kick and roll around.

6. We celebrated Daddy's birthday in March. Momma gave him a funny card about letting the cats pick out the gift. We will post the pictures soon.

7. Momma has been coming home tired. We don't ask for too much, just food, water, a clean box, and a warm lap.

8. We spend most of our day in our heated bed.

9. We take our job of watching over our Daddy very seriously. As soon as Momma leaves, our shift starts.

10. Daddy rescued us from a wasp last week. We don't know how it got in, but we were watching very intently.

11. The Easter Bunny never came. Momma said that he was probably scared of our teeth and claws of doom!

12. The weather has been very strange. Warm, cold, warm, rainy, snowing, sunny!

13. We have missed our friends and we are glad to be back!

See you all tomorrow!

Wordy Wednesday

Hi everyone, Moe here.

It's been a while since we've last posted. Well, we have been busy. You see, our Catdaddy is not feeling well these days. He has something called "vasculitus" which is an inflammation of blood vessels. He is in a lot of pain and has a hard time sleeping and getting around. Momma told us that we should watch over him while she is out earning green papers. So, that has been our job for the past few months. We take turns and make sure that he gets all the love we can give him. I sit on his chest and heart and Carmela rubs against his feet.

We wanted to let you know that we are still here and tomorrow we will have a TT13 post so you know what else we have been doing.

Meow for now!

Wordy Wednesday

Hey everyone!

We are staying warm here in Chicago.

We just have a few things to say:

1. If it looks like a sausage and smells like a sausage, than someone should offer a hungry mancat a taste. We're just say'n!

2. If a good-looking mancat is on one side of the bathroom door and knows that his sweetie is on the other side, he will open the door and let her in. Sorry for the draft Mom!

3. If a good ladycat wants a bottle cap from the table, she will paw at it and get it herself.

4. If the good ladycat (who is usually very quiet) starts squeaking, this means that she wants a snack NOW! This means that the good human(s) will drop what they are doing and give it to her.
And just to annoy the good human(s) she will also sniff at it and walk away! Grrr. And come back to it later.

That's all for now!

Sunday - a week in review!

Hi friends!

It has been a bit crazy since our last post. Moe wasn't feeling well on Tuesday, so he got hauled off to the V-E-T for a checkup. I got to go too! I talked and talked and talked all the way! I talked about the weather, world events, the need for cats in every office, and other important things. Moe got his exam, and he is as healthy as an allmost eleven year-0ld meezer can be. The V-E-T thinks it was hairball issues, so he has to take a dose of lubricant twice a day. He likes the taste, so Momma doesn't have to pry open his fangs to dose him.

In other news, the real cold weather has broken. We stayed in our heated bed most of the time. Except to use the box and eat or drink. We snuggled more with eachother than with Momma. She understood. We'll make it up to her. She has an extra day to get loves from us. She is off of work on Monday.

We've got to pose for some pictures! Momma, get out the camera!

Meow for now!

Meezer Monday and Used Moms (or Dads)

Carmela: Hey Moe, get up! Let's talk about our crazy week-end!

Moe: You mean about the delivery of guitar cases for Mom and Dad? The box was the best part!

Carmela: The man who came to measure for our new doors?

Moe: What about the door bell melting and almost shorting out the building! And don't forget about the pizza man!

Carmela: Yeah, that was fun. But today, we want to address a subject that the Furry Kids mentioned last week.

Moe: Used Moms.

What is a cat to do when the Mom starts to get worn out and tired looking. Well, the Blue Book value on used moms is really low right now, so we suggest that you take them in to the shop for reconditioning. You know, the kind of shop that does stuff to their head furs, pets them to loosen their muscles, and shudder clips and polishes their claws. If you can afford the green papers send them away for a while to a place with no cats or other furries. Then when they come back all refreshed and missing you, you will get all the good stuff you want!

Have a great day!

Wild Wednesday - Secret Paws!

Hey everyone!

Momma finally got around to getting the pics off her flashybox. So here it goes:

Hey, what's this that came for us? Let's check it out!

It's from Fiona from Florida! We were so excited that Momma couldn't get a clear picture.

Oh looky, it's our favorite treats and some nifty rings to bat around.

Thank you Fiona.

We hope that you had a great holiday.

Letters to Santa Paws

Dear Santa,

It's me, Moe.

I hope that this letter is not too late to get to you. I know that you are busy with your lists of wishes from all of earth's creatures. I will make this quick.

You know that this year has been difficult all over the world. People are out of work and have had to give up their furry friends because they could not care for them. I on the other paw am very lucky. I have a wonderful home and lots of food and treats. Please do not stop here this year. Give my gifts to those creatures who need it more.

Love,

Moe

Meow to you Santa,

It's me, Carmela.

Please pay extra attention to all the cats in the blogosphere. They have been very inspirational and many special cats have gone to the bridge this year. Give them all extra catnip in their stockings.

Have a great evening!

Monday stuff

Dear Friends,

We apologize for the lack of posts. We had to keep our momma warm as she was icky-sicky all last week. She is better now and back to work for a few days before she is home with us for Santa Paws and the New Year.

We have received our secret paw gifts and will be sending ours our ASAP.

Finally Friday

Hello everyone!

We just wanted to extend our condolences to every family in the cat blogosphere who has lost a family member this year. We know how if feels and have found it hard to talk about. We still have not posted much about what Lucinda went through with her kidney disease. We will save that for another post. Now we want to offer you all some hope.

Someday, while you are still grieving, you will feel something brush against you, but there is no one around. Out of the corner of your eye, you will see the tip of a tail that vanishes. You will hear a familiar meow while you are in a place where there are no cats. If any of this happens to you, just clear your mind and understand that your cat, dog, person, is trying to let you know that it's okay to be sad, and that they are still with you.

Trust us. This happens.

Thoughts on Thursday

Hello everyone!

It's been quiet around our house. We have been doing our normal routine:

*wake up Momma at 5:00 AM for breakfast
*snuggle up in our warm bed
*leave buried treasure for Momma in the box
*trying to ignore the local news (it's hard when the scandal is on every local and national channel)
*begging for treats
*keep Daddy company during the day
*make sure that we get rested up for the nighttime games of pounce and chase
*think about our sweet Lucinda (we miss her very much)

Have a great day!

Meezer Mancat Monday

Momma, please don't leave me! Don't you want to stay home and pat my soft tummy? Don' t you want to snuggle with me and Carmela.

What's that? If you don't go to work there won't be any treats or chow?

Oh, well in that case, can I help you with your coat?

Finally Friday - a PSA

A message to all the kitties who are not feeling well:

A spoonful of tuna helps the medicine go down,
the medicine go down,
the medicine go down.
Oh, a spoonful of tuna helps the medicine go down
in the most delightful way!

Please take your meds!
